I've always been a fan of swing. When other kids were listening to the Sex Pistols and the Clash, I was playing Benny Goodman or Glenn Miller. A part of that was the tight harmonies and vocal talents of the Andrews Sisters. Best known for Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy of Company B these days, these women delivered a vocal powerhouse that is still recognised to this day. Well, try listening to the Puppini Sisters! A trio I've only just heard of, I bought a CD to see how it compares. They totally blew me away! Every bit as good as the top singers from the swing age, they should have an album on every swing and jazz fans shelf. Now I'm hoping for a tour because if they play near me, I will be first in line for my ticket.

I have all off the Puppini Sisters albums and each one is a thrill. Special takes on standards alongside their own unique arrangements of modern songs. Needless to say, I am a fan. I was lucky enough to catch them live at the Looe Music Festival and even had a chance to chat. Lovely people, extremely talented. But then, I am hooked.

I'd heard snippets of the puppini sisters on FB reels but the living the high life cd surpassed my expectations. Great retro tracks awesome to quickstep, jive, foxtrot and waltz to. They should really be invited to perform on BBC strictly.
